Considering that the number of infections are rising again, we strongly suggest that all attendees wear FFP2 masks as much as possible, but foremost in the lecture halls, at the poster session, during the coffee breaks, and during the social events. Speakers at symposia and oral sessions at their own discretion can take their masks off when presenting.
No proof of vaccination or recovery is required, but please monitor your health status. Should you notice clear symptoms of a COVID-19 infection please abstain from attending the conference. In Vienna you can easily get tested at any pharmacy.
If you are not be able to attend the conference on the day your talk or poster is scheduled, the following options to present exist:
- Symposia: Please contact the chair of your symposium to organize a virtual talk via zoom or a pre-recording. The presenter should be online for the Q&A part, if their health status permits. If the person affected is the chair, he/she should find a substitute.
- Oral presentation: Please contact the organizers (escan2022.psychologie@univie.ac.at) in due time, but not later than 12h before your scheduled talk, and we will do our best to arrange a virtual talk via zoom or pre-recorded. The presenter should be online for the Q&A part, if their health status permits.
- Poster: There is no possibility of virtual posters. If you can hand over your poster to another attendee, they may hang it up though on your behalf.
Note that in all cases, only registered participants can present, and that we cannot refund the fees.
