Abstract submission for the ESCAN 2022 conference is currently open.
Submissions are invited for symposia and individual oral/poster presentations.

SYMPOSIA

For symposia on a given theme, the organizing author should pre-arrange for the different speakers (of different affiliations, as symposia are meant to bring different groups/perspectives to the same forum) and should conduct the full submission. A symposium contains four or five speakers, and symposia organizers will be expected to moderate their sessions during the conference. It is important that the agreement of the chair and speakers has already been obtained before submission.

Submissions should include a title of the symposium, an abstract overview of the symposium (max. 250 words), the names and affiliations of the chair(s) and presenters, and the titles of their talks (including a brief 150 word abstract for each talk).

We encourage applicants to consider aspects of equality, diversity and inclusivity when choosing their panels.

All symposia proposals will be reviewed and rated by the members of scientific committee (consisting of the ESCAN board and local organizers committee).

Abstract submission deadline for the symposia is February 28th.

ORAL/POSTER PRESENTATIONS

Only a selection of abstracts can be allotted the chance to give an oral presentation. Other abstracts of sufficient quality will be allotted a poster slot.

Submissions should include a title, an abstract (max. 250 words), the names and affiliations of the author(s).

In selecting abstracts for oral presentations, the program committee (consisting of the ESCAN board and local organizers committee) will prioritize submissions based on the following criteria:

  1. Relevance and quality of the research
  2. Certainty that data have already been acquired
  3. Higher priority for ESCAN members
  4. Higher priority for post graduate speakers
  5. Lowered priority for those who failed to show up for a scheduled presentation during a previous ESCAN meeting

Abstract submission deadline for the oral/poster presentations is April 15th.
